House of Commons Bill C-14 First Reading

The House of Commons has released its first reading of Bill C-14: An Act to amend the Criminal Code and make related amendments to other Acts (medical assistance in dying).

Some of the main points of Bill C-14 are the following:

  • An heir to your will can sign up on your behalf
  • No necessary waiting period
  • Good faith protection for those around the victim

The Trudeau government is at risk of botching its last chance to reduce the harms of assisted suicide and euthanasia.
